August Pack Meeting

Posted on Jul 25 2010 - 9:22am

Our August pack meeting will be Sunday August 15th at the Brunswick bowling alley in Roswell.  We need an accurate count of how many kids (siblings are welcome to bowl) will be there so we can reserve the right number of lanes.  Please use the link on the right-hand side of our web page to register before Friday August 13th.  The cost will be $7.49 per child to bowl for two hours.  Your son can easily earn the bowling belt loop, details of which can be found here http://www.boyscouttrail.com/cub-scouts/acadsports/bowling.asp.  We will also have registration and medical forms on hand for those who wish to register early and avoid some of the big rush at the first pack meeting after school starts.

Family Fun Day/July Pack Meeting

Posted on Jul 4 2010 - 5:36am

We had more than 30 people come out for the June Pack meeting, and hope to see at least that many for the July Pack meeting also.  We'll play some fun water games, so bring your own squirt gun and plan on the boys getting wet.  The pack meeting is 2:00PM - 4:00PM, and then the two Webelos dens have a special set of activities and campout just for them.  Hope to see you there.

June Pack Meeting

Posted on Jun 19 2010 - 8:07am

Many boys (17 from our Pack) attended Cub Camp already in June, and we want to continue the outdoor fun with a Pack 1000 pool party at the Shakerag pool (located in the Devonhall neighborhood) on Saturday June 26th.  Come join us for some water games and activities.

Cub Family Camping

Posted on Jun 12 2010 - 10:48am

Just because school is out doesn't mean that Cub Scouts stops.  You can go on a family overnight campout Father's Day weekend at a Boy Scout camp less than two hours away.  Let your son(s) have some fun doing different activities, and then camp out like the Boy Scouts do.  You don't need to bring a tent, since the platforms will have a tent that sleeps two.  Bring your own sleeping bags, pilllows, and sheets.  See the attachments for more details and directions.  If you would like to be together with the other Pack 1000 families, please contact Scott Ferrel via email at scott_ferrel@bellsouth.net by Tuesday, June 15th.

May Pack Meeting

Posted on May 8 2010 - 7:04am

Monday May 10th at Shakerag Elementary is our next Pack Meeting.  We will have some awards, some announcements, and then it will be time to blast off the rockets!  We should see some interesting designs this year, based on the fin options and some great Cub Scout imaginations.  Please help us in welcoming any new boys and parents who are interested in learning more about Cub Scouts and joining our Pack.
